On January 31, 2017 expired the deadline for submission of project proposals under the Call for projects 2017, announced by Ruse – Free Spirit City Municipal Foundation. A total of 50 projects were submitted totaling 616 582 BGN. 29 of those were submitted under the “Knowledge and Growth” Programme and the rest 21 were submitted under the “Culture and art” Programme.
The sum requested from “Ruse – Free Spirit City Foundation amounts to 345 540 BGN.
Among the applicants there are state and municipal cultural institutions, NGOs, schools, school boards and municipal centres from Ruse and Sofia.
The submitted project proposals will be evaluated in two stages – Verification of administrative compliance and eligibility and Evaluation of the project proposals under certain criteria: innovativeness of the project idea, clearly defined project objectives and target groups, realistic schedule for project implementation and publicity plan, project management capacity, including previous experience, eligibility and appropriateness of the envisaged costs, included attracted additional financing (own contribution) and sustainability of the project.
