Eugène Henri Paul Gauguin (7 June 1848 – 8 May 1903) was a French Post-Impressionist artist who was not well appreciated until after his death. Gauguin was later recognized for his experimental use of color and synthetist style that were distinguishably different from Impressionism. His work was influential to the French avant-garde and many modern artists, such as Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse. Gauguin’s art became popular after his death; partially from the efforts of art dealer Ambroise Vollard who organized exhibitions of his work late in his career, as well as assisting in organizing two important posthumous exhibitions in Paris. Many of his paintings were in the possession of Russian collector Sergei Shchukin as well as other important collections.

Claymore

The progressive metal band Claymore played in front of thousands of fans during their concerts in 5 European countries. The band had the unique chance to go on its international tour thanks to the financial support of Ruse Free Spirit City Municipal Foundation.

From June 30 to July 11, Claymore played in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Austria and Hungary. The presented their brand new album”Vengeance is Near”, which includes 14 songs. The musicians attracted the interest of a number of world rock and metal music magazines such as “DECIBEL”, “METAL HAMMER BG”, "Beowolf", Metal Center Poland, webzine, Lords of Metal webzine.

Claymore was formed in the summer of 1999 in the city of Ruse and quickly became popular among Bulgarian fans with unique and pure style of melodic death/black metal combining aggression and melody in one with influences from other styles like heavy,thrash,death,grind as well as a good amount of classical music.
