David Yordanov, a student at Hristo Botev High School - Ruse, won a gold medal at the Singapore International Mathematics Olympiad Challenge - SIMOC 2016. David has many awards from different competitions, since his talent for math was noticed when he was in first grade. The Singapore Challenge is the first international competition that he has taken part in. He had to solve 25 problems for just 30 minutes. David's mother – Doroteya Ochkova supports him on the road to success in mathematics. The young mathematician also loves to play sports - during weekdays he rides a bike, and on the weekends he plays tennis with his father and he also enjoys skiing in the winter.
