Eugène Henri Paul Gauguin (7 June 1848 – 8 May 1903) was a French Post-Impressionist artist who was not well appreciated until after his death. Gauguin was later recognized for his experimental use of color and synthetist style that were distinguishably different from Impressionism. His work was influential to the French avant-garde and many modern artists, such as Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse. Gauguin’s art became popular after his death; partially from the efforts of art dealer Ambroise Vollard who organized exhibitions of his work late in his career, as well as assisting in organizing two important posthumous exhibitions in Paris. Many of his paintings were in the possession of Russian collector Sergei Shchukin as well as other important collections.

Open lesson "Acrobatics and Ballet" gathered children and parents

Open lesson “Acrobatics and Ballet”, part of project “Acrobatics and Health”, took place in the acrobatics hall of Sports complex “Lokomotiv”.

20 children and their parents as well as the young talents from ballet club “Art Dance Classic” participated in the event.

The choreographer of Acrobatics Club “Lokomotiv – Ruse” – Silvia Malinova-Dobreva told the audience about the magic of ballet and dancing. The participants in the event also learned more about choreography as an integral part of sports acrobatics.

After a short ballet practice with the participation of the audience followed an acrobatics training under the supervision of coaches Valeri Filipov and Hristina Genova. The event continued with a demonstration by the athlete from the national acrobatic gymnastics team Martin Simeonov.
