A unique concert devised by the British composer and conductor Tim Steiner took place on Svoboda Square on Sunday evening.
More than 300 musicians and singers participated in the musical challenge called Mission Ruse. They proved that jazz, rock, folk and classical music can bring together on one stage musicians, singers, dancers and audience.
Such a large-scale interactive musical performance is realized for the first time in Bulgaria. It was initiated and financed by Ruse Free Spirit City Municipal Foundation. The aim of the organizers was through a fun and exciting event in which anyone can participate to create a sense of community and to inspire the citizens of Ruse to create together.
Among the performers on stage were the choirs Danube Waves and Danube Sounds, Hristo Botev High School Tambura Orchestra, 100 acoustic guitars, Chamber and Folk Choir at the National School of Arts Prof. Veselin Stoyanov – Ruse, the rock bands Anekdot, Power Enslave”, “Gun Without Bullets”, “Claymore” and “Explicit”.
For an hour and a half the musicians created a unique atmosphere of harmony an understanding. They performed unique pieces created by the British composer especially for the event in Ruse.
