18.08.2014

Ruse has the unique chance to host Allegra International Summer Academy. 40 young musicians from 18 countries will participate in it. The event is first of its kind in Ruse and is financed by Ruse Free Spirit City Municipal Foundation. The programme includes master classes in orchestra conducting with Professor Johannes Schlaefli who teaches at the Zurich School of the Arts and is chief conductor of the Kurpfälzisches Kammerorchester, Germany. The famous Ruse musician Svetlin Rusev will lead the violin master classes and Boyko Tsvetanov who has been soloist of the Zurich opera for more than 30 years will guide the young singers. 5 concerts will be held within the Academy. The culmination will be the gala concert on August 30.

The Academy aims at stimulating the development of young talents in the field of classical music and at promoting this type of art. The international event will contribute to reinforcing the image of Ruse as a city with cultural traditions and free creative energy.
