Teodor, Maxi, Danny and Nikola from Baba Tonka High School of Mathematics – Ruse took part in theInternational Mathematical Olympiad, held in the middle of July in Hong Kong.
The sixth graders came back with a bronze medal and a cup form the prestigious competition. “They not only won prizes but also gained invaluable experience and acquired organizational skills and mathematical knowledge”, said their teacher Boryana Kyumdzhieva.
The participation of the young Ruse mathematicians in the Hong Kong competition was financed by Ruse – Free Spirit City Municipal Foundation.
The Students from the Secondary School with the Study of European Languages “St. Constantine-Cyril the Philosopher” participating in “Space Camp Turkey 2014”.
Students from The Secondary School with the Study of European Languages “St. Constantine-Cyril the Philosopher” Alexandra Pencheva, Camelia Angelova and Angel Mesarabov, together with their instructor Teodora Stankova participated in the international space training programme “Space Camp Turkey 2014” held in the city of Izmir. They have applied for the programme with an essay analysing topics like biology, physics, astronomy. Their participation in the programme became possible with thefinancial support of Ruse – Free Spirit City Municipal Foundation.
During the Space Camp in the NASA base in Turkey, the students had the chance to expand their knowledge in astronomy, to work in team with children from all over the world with the latest space technologies and simulators.
