Eugène Henri Paul Gauguin (7 June 1848 – 8 May 1903) was a French Post-Impressionist artist who was not well appreciated until after his death. Gauguin was later recognized for his experimental use of color and synthetist style that were distinguishably different from Impressionism. His work was influential to the French avant-garde and many modern artists, such as Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse. Gauguin’s art became popular after his death; partially from the efforts of art dealer Ambroise Vollard who organized exhibitions of his work late in his career, as well as assisting in organizing two important posthumous exhibitions in Paris. Many of his paintings were in the possession of Russian collector Sergei Shchukin as well as other important collections.

Three gold medals for Ruse mathematicians at international competition in Moscow

The students from Baba Tonka High School of Mathematics in Ruse at the International scientific competition "Mathematics and Design 2017", which took place April 28-May 3, 2017 in Moscow, Russia. Susan Feimova - senior teacher of Informatics and IT at the Ruse High School of Mathematics is instructor of all students.

6 students from Baba Tonka High School of Mathematics participated in the competition with 4 projects in 4 of the competition divisions. Despite serious competition, they won three first places.

The teachers and their instructor participated in the prestigious competition in Moscow with the financial support of Mathematics of the Future Fund, Ruse Free Spirit City Municipal Foundation and its partners Atlas Copco Lifton EOOD and WITTE Automotive Bulgaria EOOD.
