Yoana Delimarkova and Nikolay Dimitrov are students at the National School of Arts Prof. Veselin Stoyanov – Ruse, in the piano class of Daniela Kyurkchieva.
The piano duo won third prize in the International Piano and Strings Competition American Protégé – online – 2014. Nikolay also received an individual third place in the prestigious contest. The Ruse pianists competed with over 200 peers from around the world. They won their prizes for their brilliant performances of Arabesque № 1 by Debussy as a duo and Impromptu № 1 by Chopin.
In November 2014, Yoana and Nikolay performed in a concert in Carnegie Hall in New York, where they received their diplomas from the competition. Their trip was financed by Ruse - Free Spirit City Foundation’s fund The Faces of Ruse.
